What is ArmourLock?
ArmourLock is Display Armour’s premium magnetic closure technology for Pokémon ETB, booster box and sealed acrylic display cases. Instead of relying on a more generic “magnetic lid” setup, ArmourLock uses embedded rectangular bar magnets integrated into the structure of the case itself.
That matters because a closure system is more than just a way to open and close the box — it affects lid feel, overall rigidity, dust resistance, and the way the case presents in-hand and on shelf. ArmourLock was built to make sealed cases feel cleaner, tighter and more engineered from the first touch.
The result is a closure system that creates a more premium collector experience: better alignment, stronger closure confidence, and a more seamless appearance than standard visible-dot magnet designs.
Stronger Closure
Dual reinforced magnetic seating creates a tighter, more secure lid feel.
Cleaner Design
Embedded rectangular magnets give a more seamless and engineered finish.
Collector Confidence
Designed to help protect sealed products from dust, handling and accidental movement.
ArmourLock is part of the Display Armour Technology Hub, created specifically for sealed display case products. It is separate from our MOC figure case technologies such as SecureRail, AeroLift Support and GlideLock.
How ArmourLock Works
ArmourLock is designed around one goal: create a repeatable premium closure system that feels secure, aligned and collector-grade every time the case is handled.
-
1
Guided lid seating
The lid settles into a consistent seated position for cleaner alignment and a more controlled close.
-
2
Magnetic engagement
Embedded rectangular bar magnets pull the lid into place with a stronger and more stable closure feel.
-
3
Reinforced closure
The dual reinforced layout helps reduce weak points, visible gap feel and loose-lid behaviour.
-
4
Display-ready finish
The whole case feels more premium on shelf, with cleaner lines and a more secure sealed display presence.
Designed for sealed display, not borrowed from MOC systems
ArmourLock was built specifically for sealed display cases where premium lid feel, case rigidity and presentation quality matter. It is not a re-badged figure-case feature — it is a closure system created for the demands of Pokémon ETBs, booster boxes and other boxed collectibles.
ArmourLock works best as part of the wider sealed display architecture: UV Shield Acrylic, engineered acrylic build and purpose-built internal sizing.
ArmourLock vs Generic Magnetic Lid Cases
A lot of sealed acrylic cases are described as “magnetic”, but that doesn’t mean the closure system is built to the same standard. The difference shows up in lid feel, cleanliness of design, and how premium the case feels in real collector use.
Display Armour ArmourLock
- Embedded rectangular bar magnets for a cleaner engineered finish.
- Dual reinforced magnetic closure for a stronger and more secure lid feel.
- Better perceived rigidity and premium handling confidence.
- Designed specifically for sealed ETB, booster box and boxed display formats.
- Cleaner shelf presentation with no cheap-looking visible dot-magnet aesthetic.
Generic Magnetic Lid Cases
- Often rely on simpler visible magnet layouts with a less refined finish.
- Closure can feel lighter, looser or less substantial in-hand.
- More likely to look like a standard acrylic box rather than a premium engineered case.
- Less brand-specific tuning for sealed product display.
- Generic closure feel rather than a system built around collector presentation.
If you want your sealed display case to feel like a premium product rather than just a container, ArmourLock is one of the biggest reasons Display Armour stands apart.
