Display Armour – Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about acrylic display cases, SecureRail™, AeroLift Support™ or which case fits your figures? Start here – these are the questions we get asked most by collectors.
What makes Display Armour acrylic cases different from other brands?
Display Armour cases are built from premium 4 mm UV-resistant acrylic with SecureRail™ internal support and, on selected lines, technologies like AeroLift Support™ and GlideLock™ slide panels. They’re designed by collectors to fit specific card sizes (WWF Hasbro, TMNT, Star Wars, MOTU, GI Joe, Super7 ReAction and more) with a snug, rattle-free fit and crystal-clear presentation.
Are your toy display cases UV-protected?
Yes. Our acrylic is UV-resistant to help reduce colour fade from sunlight and room light. We still recommend avoiding direct, harsh sunlight for long periods, but Display Armour cases add an important extra layer of protection for cards and bubbles.
Which action figures fit in Display Armour acrylic cases?
Each case is tailored to a specific toy line or card style. We currently cover: WWF Hasbro (standard & deep bubble), TMNT Playmates, Star Wars (Kenner Vintage, POTF, TVC, Retro Collection), MOTU, GI Joe (vintage tall card & modern), Batman Animated, Ghostbusters, RoboCop, Thundercats, Super7 ReAction and more. For a full, up-to-date list, check our All Display Cases by Collection page.
How do I find the right Display Armour case for my figure?
Use the Display Armour Case Finder on our website to match your toy line and figure style to the correct case in a few clicks – no measuring needed. You can start here: Display Armour Case Finder & Collections.
What is SecureRail™ Technology?
SecureRail™ is our full-length internal support rail used on selected Display Armour cases. It gently braces the cardback to help prevent bowing, warping and lean over time and keeps the card sitting straight and centred inside the case. It’s ideal for investment-grade MOC figures and is part of the wider Display Armour protection system.
What is AeroLift Support™ and when do I need it?
AeroLift Support™ is a suspension-style support system used on selected Display Armour cases. It helps the card “float” in plane inside the acrylic, reducing pressure points and stress lines. AeroLift Support™ is especially useful on heavier bubbles or high-value MOC pieces, and is designed to work alongside SecureRail™ where both are specified in the product description.
What is GlideLock™ and how is it different from other slide-bottom designs?
GlideLock™ is our engineered slide-bottom / slide-panel system for loading figures into certain Display Armour cases. It’s designed to open and close smoothly and predictably, with a positive “locked” position to help keep out dust and minimise wear on the card edges when you’re loading or unloading your figure.
Where can I learn more about Display Armour technology?
For a full breakdown of SecureRail™, AeroLift Support™, GlideLock™ and our 4 mm UV-defended acrylic, visit the Display Armour Technology Hub. You can also read more about UV protection in our blog article Why UV protection matters for collectible action figures.
Do you offer loose figure display cases as well as carded?
Yes – we’re expanding our range of loose acrylic display cases designed for individual figures and small dioramas. These use the same 4 mm UV-resistant acrylic as our MOC cases. You can browse current options on our Collections page.
Do Display Armour cases work with Super7, NECA or ReAction figures?
Yes – our Super7 ReAction acrylic case is sized for 3.75" ReAction style cards and fits a wide range of lines including TMNT, MOTU, horror & movie ReAction figures and many of Super7’s niche licences. Always check the product description on the ReAction case page for the latest compatibility notes.
What thickness are your acrylic display cases?
Display Armour cases are built from 4 mm acrylic as standard – around 33% thicker than many 3 mm alternatives. Thicker acrylic means a more rigid case, better edge strength and a more premium feel in hand.
How do I clean my Display Armour acrylic case safely?
Use a soft microfibre cloth with a little water or an acrylic-safe cleaner. Avoid household glass cleaners, solvents and rough cloths as they can cause micro-scratches. Always wipe in straight lines rather than circular motions for the best finish.
Are your toy display cases stackable?
Yes – Display Armour cases have a flat, polished top and base and can be stacked with care. For very tall stacks we recommend a solid backing or shelf system so all the weight isn’t on the bottom case.
How long does delivery take once I order?
UK orders usually arrive in 2–3 working days after dispatch. We ship using tracked services and will send tracking details once your cases are on the way.
Do you ship acrylic display cases internationally?
Yes – we ship to collectors worldwide using tracked international services. Shipping options and prices are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.
What are your shipping options in the UK?
We normally use tracked courier and Royal Mail services for UK orders. Available options (including any free-shipping thresholds or upgrades) are shown at checkout before you complete your order.
What is your return policy for Display Armour cases?
All orders are covered by the Display Armour 30-Day Guarantee. If you’re not completely happy, you can return your unused cases in their original packaging for a refund. Full details are on our Returns & Refunds policy.
What should I do if my display case arrives damaged?
In the rare event of transit damage, please contact us within 7 days with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We’ll arrange a free replacement in line with our Display Armour Guarantee.
Do Display Armour cases come with a warranty?
Yes – in addition to our 30-day returns window, we offer an ongoing clarity & build promise. If a case arrives with a manufacturing defect, we’ll make it right.
Can I request a custom-sized acrylic case?
At the moment we focus on pre-engineered sizes for the most popular toy lines so we can hold stock and ship quickly. If you have a custom-size request, you’re welcome to contact us and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can add to a future production run.
Where can I buy Display Armour acrylic display cases?
You can order directly from our website at displayarmour.co.uk, as well as via our official Display Armour channels on eBay and social media when advertised.
How do I contact Display Armour for support or questions?
You can reach us using the contact form on our Contact page or via our official social media channels. We’re collectors too – we’re happy to help you find the right case.
Will acrylic display cases really help preserve the value of my figures?
Yes. A good acrylic case helps protect against crushed bubbles, edge wear, dust, fingerprints and light damage. Many collectors and grading companies recommend storing valuable MOC figures in rigid, UV-resistant acrylic to help maintain condition and resale value.
What is the best acrylic case for mint-on-card action figures?
We recommend a 4 mm UV-resistant acrylic case with a snug fit for your specific toy line, ideally with SecureRail™ support for high-value cards. You can explore our full range of MOC acrylic cases via the All Display Cases by Collection page.
Do your loose figure cases come with stands?
Some loose display options are designed to work with standard figure stands (not included), while others are sized for figures posed directly on the acrylic base. Check each loose case description for stand recommendations.
How do Display Armour cases protect against yellowing or sun damage?
Our acrylic is UV-resistant and non-yellowing, helping to reduce the impact of UV light on packaging and bubbles. While no material can completely stop long-term sun damage, Display Armour cases add a strong level of protection compared with leaving figures exposed on an open shelf.
Can I use Display Armour cases with graded figures?
Our current range is focused on raw MOC figures and loose displays. Some graded pieces may fit, but we always recommend using cases specifically designed for your grading company’s slab dimensions.
Do you offer bulk discounts or wholesale pricing on acrylic cases?
Yes – we offer multi-buy discounts on many case lines and can discuss wholesale or bulk orders for shops and grading services. Please contact us via the Contact page with details of what you need.
Where can I see every Display Armour case and accessory in one place?
The best starting point is our All Display Cases by Collection page, which groups every case line by toy range. From there you can jump into WWF Hasbro, TMNT, Star Wars, MOTU, GI Joe, Super7 ReAction and more.
Do you update or add new case lines over time?
Yes – Display Armour is an evolving range. We regularly add new toy lines and card styles based on collector demand. The best way to stay updated is to check the website or follow our social channels for new case announcements.
Do Protector Series plastic protectors include UV protection?
No – Protector Series are clear plastic sleeves for storage and transport and are not advertised as UV-protective. They do a great job of defending against box rub, scuffs and shelf wear, but for UV shielding and long-term display we always recommend upgrading to a 4 mm acrylic Display Armour case.
When should I choose a Protector Series case instead of an acrylic case?
Protector Series is perfect for storage boxes, convention stock, dealer tables, bringing figures to grading or when you’re shipping or trading pieces. For figures that will live on the wall or a shelf long term, choose a 4 mm acrylic Display Armour case for better rigidity, UV resistance and presentation.
Can I store figures long-term in Protector Series plastic protectors?
Protector Series is designed mainly for short to medium-term storage and transport. Many collectors do keep figures in them for longer, but if you want maximum stability, UV resistance and display value we recommend a rigid 4 mm acrylic Display Armour case.
Which toy lines are available in the Protector Series range?
We’re rolling Protector Series out across the most popular lines including WWF Hasbro, TMNT Playmates, Star Wars, MOTU, GI Joe and Super7-style cards. Check the product titles and descriptions for the Protector Series label to see which lines are currently supported.
How do I know if a deep or oversized bubble will fit?
Each product page lists the maximum bubble depth the case is designed for (for example “standard” vs “deep” WWF Hasbro or TMNT). If you’re unsure, measure from the front of the card to the outermost part of the bubble and compare it with the depth shown in the description, or contact us for advice.
Do you offer pre-orders or restock alerts for sold-out case lines?
For popular lines we sometimes offer pre-orders through our Pre-Order Display Cases page, or allow you to sign up for restock notifications on the product page. If a case you need is sold out, use the notification option or drop us a message and we’ll let you know when the next production run is landing.
