Opening a case should not feel like a risk.

Removable and friction-fit panels can demand pulling, prying or acrylic flex. GlideLock replaces that improvised movement with a guided access path.

Movement without guidance

A basic lid may need to be pulled away from the case, flexed around an edge or held separately while the collectible is loaded. That creates more variables at the moment careful handling matters most.

GlideLock is not a universal replacement door. The panel, channel and clearances are developed as part of each compatible Display Armour case.

    Define the access route

    The opening direction and usable clearance are considered alongside the case, packaging format and expected loading path.

    Guide the panel

    A dedicated channel keeps the reinforced panel moving on a defined line rather than being pulled or flexed away from the enclosure.

    Manage clearance

    The access route is designed to remain separate from the compatible card and blister area during normal loading and removal.

    Return to flush

    Once closed, the panel returns to the case geometry so the mechanism stays visually quiet and the collectible remains the focus.

Does every Display Armour case use GlideLock?

No. GlideLock is used on selected carded-figure acrylic cases where the product design specifies the system. Sealed-product, loose-figure and other formats may use different internal architecture. Check the individual product description.

Does the sliding panel touch the card or blister?

GlideLock’s panel movement is designed to remain separate from the compatible card and blister area during normal use. Always load the correct case carefully and stop if packaging does not clear the opening as expected.

Can the panel slide out accidentally?

The panel is captured and guided by the compatible case design rather than operating as an unrestricted loose sheet. Handle the case upright and follow the product instructions, particularly when the panel is open.

Will GlideLock loosen with repeated use?

GlideLock avoids the repeated enclosure flex associated with many friction-fit lids. As with any moving component, careful operation and keeping the channel clean will help preserve a consistent feel over time.

Is GlideLock better than a magnetic lid?

They solve access differently. A magnetic lid is normally removed or pivots away; GlideLock keeps movement within a guided path. The better option depends on the collectible, case orientation and how often you expect to reopen it.

How should I clean the GlideLock channel?

Remove the collectible first. Use a clean microfibre cloth and follow Display Armour’s acrylic care guidance. Avoid abrasive cleaners, paper towels and forcing debris through the channel.

How does GlideLock work with SecureRail and AeroLift?

SecureRail manages compatible card positioning, AeroLift supports the card plane, and GlideLock manages access. Together with the acrylic enclosure, they form Display Armour’s integrated MOC architecture on selected cases.
